Scott Lang is a Senior Industry Affairs Manager for Honeywell Fire. He has 30 years of experience in the fire industry and his primary focus is on codes and standards development for fire & life safety detection and notification.
Scott began his career at Pittway (System Sensor) in 1992 as a design engineer after graduating from Northern Illinois University with a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. Since that time, he has worked in various aspects of smoke
detector research and development as well as a variety of fire detection and notification projects and has been granted over 20 US patents. After earning a Master of Business Administration degree, he worked in product management for eight years.
He currently serves on a number of NFPA, UL/ULC, and international standards development committees and is active on several industry trade associations including the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
