Denise Pappas | General Manager of Keltron Corporation
Denise Pappas, General Manager of Keltron Corporation, is a fire and security industry influencer. She is an expert at explaining how the codes and standards revolving around Intelligent Buildings fit into individual situations. As the cybersecurity task group chair for the NFPA 72, Chapter 24, ECS, Denise is intimately familiar with the introduction of the 2022 Edition of NFPA 72, Cybersecurity Chapter 11. She is a member of the NEMA Cybersecurity Council, serves as the Standards Chair for BICSI and served as the chair of the fire section of D007 - Intelligent Building Standard. Additionally, she serves on the NFPA 101/5000 Technical Committee and on the Correlating Committee for NFPA 99. Certified Speaker and experienced presenter, Ms. Pappas received a BA from Bowling Green University and is currently studying for her MBA at LSU. She was recently inducted into the Society of Collegiate Leadership and Achievement.
Chief H. “Butch” Browning | Executive Director of the National Association of State Fire Marshals
H. “Butch” Browning is the recently retired as the Louisiana State Fire Marshal where he oversaw the operation of building construction plan review, fire code enforcement, fire education and fire/arson investigation. He also coordinated with local fire and emergency service organizations to aid with assets in times of disaster. Chief Browning has a strong belief in value driven leadership where you lead by example and empower people for success. For over 35 years he has served in all levels of the fire service profession including being the past Fire Chief of the City of Gonzales and East Baton Rouge Fire Protection District #6, he has served as a fire inspector and Chief Arson Investigator. His accomplishments include being an Eagle Scout, Past President of the National Association of State Fire Marshals, Past President of the Louisiana State Fireman’s Association, Past President of the Louisiana Arson and Fire Prevention Association, Graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, The Commission on Professional Credentialing Chief Fire Officer and certified Emergency Medical Technician. He is certified in many fire administration, fire suppression, fire prevention and fire education levels at the National Fire Academy and Oklahoma State University. He has instructed at LSU and holds a Fire Science Degree from LSU-Eunice. Other notable recognitions include the American Legion Firefighter of the year, the American Fire Sprinkler Association’s Advocate of the Year and the Fire Equipment Manufacturers Association Fire Safety Advocate of the Year. He recently, entered in a new chapter being named Executive Director of the National Association of State Fire Marshals.
