Fernanda is part of the NEMA Mexico Office, where she is responsible for NEMA activities in Latin America. Currently Fernanda is serving on various groups for the elaboration and revision of Mexican Regulations (NOMs), voluntary standards and harmonization processes between Mexico, United States and Canada, she also actively participates in the processes of creation and update of different regulations and adoption of codes in Latin America as a representative of NEMA.

Rolando Leiva | Ingeniero Industrial Miembro del CIEMI

El Ing. Leiva es Ingeniero Industrial Miembro del CIEMI, Licenciado en Salud Ocupacional con énfasis en seguridad industrial y Máster en gerencia de proyectos. Está certificado por la NFPA como “Especialista en protección contra incendios” y cuenta con 12 años de experiencia en protección contra incendios. Actualmente labora para la unidad de Ingeniería del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Costa Rica como “Autoridad Competente” (AHJ) y es profesor universitario en materia de protección contra incendios.

Mr. Leiva is an Industrial Engineer Member of CIEMI, has a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health with emphasis in industrial safety and a Master's Degree in project management. He is certified by the NFPA as a "Fire Protection Specialist" and has 12 years of experience in fire protection. He currently works for the Engineering Unit of the Costa Rican Fire Department as "Authority Having Jurisdiction" (AHJ) and is a university professor in fire protection.
