ROSSLYN, Va., May 5, 2022–The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) won two gold awards for its electroindustry newsletters and new infrastructure microsite as well as two honorable mentions for its NEMA By the Numbers Performance Review and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act graphic in the 2022 Hermes Creative Awards.
NEMA created the new IIJA microsite to help its members navigate the law’s many details and opportunities. NEMA actively pursued support for passing this legislation by directly engaging Members of Congress and key committee staff. Of the nearly $450 billion set aside for energy and electrification projects that will benefit our industry, NEMA’s work secured nearly $42 billion in almost a dozen key policy provisions.
“We are thrilled that the Hermes Creative Awards has recognized NEMA’s collaborative work to better inform our members on federal opportunities,” says NEMA President and CEO Debra Phillips. “We’re especially proud of the new IIJA microsite and infographic because they are helpful in explaining the law’s funding process for members at this time of historic investment in America’s infrastructure and the electrification of the economy.” The electroindustry magazine newsletter was recently revamped to include more inviting graphics and teasers to the digital magazine.
