March 2022 / Vol. 27 No. 3
By Jena Passut, Managing Editor, Digital Content
I joined NEMA at the end of 2018 with the specific goal of moving its print magazine, Electroindustry, entirely online and revamping the content of the association’s website. Before taking on this endeavor, I worked for trade publications on various topics, from optometry and ophthalmology to medical devices to K-12 technology.
As the managing editor of digital content at NEMA, I’ve learned a great deal about the electroindustry, and I discover more every day. From technological innovations in manufacturing to advocacy advancements in local, state, and federal governments, the electroindustry is always abuzz. It’s an incredibly fascinating time at NEMA after the passage and signing of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), where members stand to gain a $450 billion investment in energy and electrification projects, either through indirect or direct funding.
One of NEMA’s more important goals is to bring value to its manufacturer members. I like to think I contribute to that by telling the industry’s stories. But, where there’s one interesting story, there are a thousand more. Whether it’s about supply chain issues, electrified transportation, or codes and standards, Electroindustry is here striving to be your go-to source for information. And I’m here collecting that information. ei
Here are the topics we plan to cover throughout the year: Editorial Calendar. Reach out and let me know if you’d like to contribute!
