April 2022 / Vol. 27 No. 4
By Casey Granata, Program Manager, Building Infrastructure
I joined NEMA in January of 2022 to set a foundation and excel in standards development while maintaining and cultivating relationships within the industry. Before coming to NEMA, I worked for Underwriters Laboratories Inc, standards division, in the energy and power industry. During those eight years, I partnered with NEMA in the standards developing world, and I always admired the work and relationship with NEMA, which led to where I am today.
As the Program Manager in the Building Infrastructure Division at NEMA, I use my industry experience to cultivate and maintain relationships with our members. The Building Infrastructure industry will see vast changes in the future with the new Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which has allocated a nearly $450 billion investment in energy and electrification projects. Our job here at NEMA is to make sure these technical changes align with our members and that we are the advocates for the success of their business within the industry.
At NEMA, one of my personal goals is to make sure we deliver value to our members and to make sure all their needs are met. I understand that standards are the main ingredient for customers’ confidence in any product. Here at NEMA, we wholeheartedly stand behind sound engineering and safety.
I look forward to being part of the history we will make in the next century. ei
