Carbon/Manufactured Graphite
Carbon and graphite materials are manufactured from
such raw materials as petroleum cokes, pitch cokes, and carbon black
that are mixed with thermoplastic binders at high temperatures.
They
are used to make electrical components, electrodes, and mechanical
products that include anodes and cathodes; gouging, heating, and welding
rods; brushes, contacts, and holders; bearings, seals, plates, rings,
and valve parts; graphite lubricants; and other machine components.
