The Council offers:
- A venue for manufacturer collaboration in the changing and expanding automotive component market—one that traditionally has been a closed industry
- A distinctive and effective industry voice for favorable government policies and regulations
- A means to develop and promote relevant Standards, qualification programs, and industry best practices that can support a streamlined and resilient supply chain
- A place where broad discussions occur on the regulatory, technical, operational, environment, economic, and other issues in this market
Why Now?
The automotive market is becoming increasingly connected, electrified, and autonomous
- This will have a profound effect on the components, products, and systems that constitute a vehicle
- Policy and politics are moving in that overall direction
- There are opportunities for developing Standards in the following areas: safety, automation, communications and integration, cybersecurity, and new materials
Participation in the ACC is open to both NEMA and non-NEMA Members. If you are interested in joining, contact NEMA Industry Director Steve Griffith at steve.griffith@nema.org.
