Siemens to Supply Wind and Steam Turbines for Renewable Energy Projects in Spain Siemens Power Generation (PG) has received major orders from the Spanish energy company Iberdrola and Solel Solar Systems of Israel to supply wind turbines as well as key equipment for solar-thermal power plants. 29/11/07

Sectra Initiates Cooperation with Swedish Research Company within Synthetic MR
Sectra has signed a cooperation agreement with the Swedish research company Synthetic MR AB to use new software-based technology for improved analysis of magnetic resonance (MR) images. 28/11/07

Saft Wins Project with General Dynamics Electric Boat
Saft has announced a new order from General Dynamics Electric Boat to supply lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for a high-power stored energy system for an external electric actuator designed to operate submarine steering and diving planes. 21/11/07

Xtralis and VSK Group Join Forces to Form Security and Surveillance Technology Power House
Xtralis has recently acquired VSK Group, the Belgian subsidiary of Allied Defense Group, for $49 million. VSK and Xtralis will be run by newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Samir Samhouri. 20/11/07

BrainLAB Collaborates with Protox for Brain Cancer Program

Emerson, Westinghouse Reach 10-Year Nuclear Power Plant Automation Agreement

Philips to Acquire Genlyte
Royal Philips Electronics (Philips) will acquire luminaires company Genlyte Group Inc. Philips will acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Genlyte for USD 95.50 per share, or approximately USD 2.7 billion (EUR 1.8 billion) to be paid in cash upon completion. 27/11/07

Thomas & Betts Corporation Completes Acquisition of Lamson & Sessions
Thomas & Betts Corporation, a leading manufacturer of electrical components, announced today that it completed its acquisition of Lamson & Sessions Co. for approximately $450 million. 20/11/07
