NEMA is in the process of implementing a Digital Rights Management (DRM) security feature to help control content security and electronic delivery of NEMA standards and to protect its intellectual property.
Beginning February 15, all standards and standards publications that are currently free on the NEMA website will be available in an encrypted form, allowing viewing of the entire publication online, but not printing, modifying, saving, or distribution of the file.

When accessing a NEMA standard from nema.org the first time, all users need to download a free plug in. There is no limit to the number of times a document may be viewed on your computer.
